AirSeed
The use of drones could greatly accelerate the rate of reforestation throughout the world. AirSeed work with governments, corporations, companies with CSR goals, and NGOs to combat climate change and biodiversity loss. Their drone technology, artificial and data-driven intelligence, and proprietary seed pod biotechnology ensure that they make the biggest impact through their planting efforts.

SeaTrees
SeaTrees is a project of not-for-profit Sustainable Surf. Their mission is to provide financial support to “regenerative” projects that protect and restore critical “blue carbon” ocean ecosystems. Our focus has been to contribute to the restoration of mangroves across the world as one of the most under appreciated and underrated ecosystems. Located along tropical coastlines, per hectare mangroves are among the most carbon-rich forests in the world - in fact, despite covering only 0.1% of the planet's surface, research shows that 14% of all coastal carbon sequestration is thanks to mangrove forests.

Landcare is a grassroots movement of individuals, groups and organisations across Australia with a shared vision to protect, enhance or restore the natural environment in their local community through sustainable land management and conservation activities. Landcare enables people to actively care for the natural environment in their community.

ABC Foundation Ltd is a majority Aboriginal owned member-based charitable social enterprise. Their vision is to achieve generational self-empowerment for Aboriginal people “Looking after Country” and to see Aboriginal people leading the growth of a sustainable land and sea economy.

Greenfleet
Greenfleet is a 25 year old not-for-profit organisation and Australia’s first carbon offset provider. They protect our climate by restoring our forests. Greenfleet plants native biodiverse forests in Australia and New Zealand to restore critical ecosystems and capture carbon emissions on behalf of our supporters. Their forests are legally protected, absorb carbon from the atmosphere, improve soil and water quality, and provide vital habitat for native wildlife.

Become a Shaker
Maker + Shade = Shaker
This is the place to get on board and contribute your hard earned cash to Makers of Shade. The funds raised are distributed to our partners quarterly, with an update sent to all Shakers quarterly as well. Please read our charter for a clearer understanding of our contribution criteria and mandate. Note: we are not a charity, simply a group of people who share a common goal - leave the world better (and shadier) than we found it.
Making shade together.
Makers of Shade is all about collective action and combining forces to increase our impact. Each year, Shakers will have the opportunity to get together for informal catch ups to discuss our impact, and go on adventures to plant trees.
